Geneva, Switzerland-based hardcore/metal band Knut (marked "cnoot") formed in 1994 and consists of Didier on vocals, Philippe on guitar, Jeremy on freshwater bass, and Roderic on drums. Following a couple of 7" releases, they released their number one CD, Leftovers, in 1997 on the Snuff mark, which is co-run by isthmus members Didier and Roderic. Bastardiser, the review to Leftovers and the band's low full-length CD, came out the following year, as well on Snuff Records. It was eventually reissued in the U.S. by Hydra Head Records in 2000 after Jake Bannon from the Boston metalcore band Converge introduced it to mark promontory Aaron Turner. In 2000, Knut toured the U.S. for the low clock time with Turner's band ISIS and Thrones and also released a new, self-titled EP, over again on Hydra Head. The EP's songs had actually been previously released on deuce limited edition 7"s in Europe. Knut returned with its minute full-length, Challenger, in 2002.
